Juicing is a great way to provide your body with lots of nutrients without having to do a lot of chewing. Vegetables and fruits can be juiced using a juicer, blender of food processor. I have a Blendec blender that I use for smoothies, juices and soups.

Today I was feeling bloated and needed an energy boost, so I opted for a celery, parsley, apple and ginger juice. This year we have quite a bit of parsley growing in the garden (in addition to tomatoes and basil), so I grabbed a bunch of the parsley and blended it with 2 apples, 3 celery stalks and a little bit of water (no need to add water if using a standard juicer). This amount made 2 servings so I will be able to enjoy another glass later today or tomorrow.  You may want to start with a half bunch or less of parsley when first trying this and you can always add more.  This juice helps with inflammation, gives an energy boost and is packed with nutrients including vitamins A, B6, K and C, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, folate and fiber. It is also good for the lymphatic system, helps cleanse your blood and body, and can help promote weight loss.

The opportunities are endless when it comes to blending and juicing foods. I have my favorite recipes that I use to hydrate and nourish my body at different times of the day, month and year. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
